“A delightful meditation on society, sex, and soccer,” -The Village Voice

Gunnison, CO – Western Theatre Company presents “The Wolves”, by Sarah DeLappe. Performances are Thursday through Saturday, April 21 to 23, and April 28 to 30 at the Studio Theatre in Taylor Hall.

All performances are at 7:30 p.m., except for Saturday, April 23, which is a matinee at 2 p.m. Soccer Choreography is by Western Colorado University Head Women’s Soccer Coach Amanda Raso.

Director Heather Hughes: “’The Wolves” is a play about life, in all of its messy, complicated glory, and the struggle we all go through in figuring out who we are, and who we want to be. And how the answer to that struggle, at least partly, is in finding your pack. We are braver when we know we’re not alone.”

Western Colorado University Director of Theatre Steven Cole Hughes: “We have been waiting for two years to produce this play. It was originally cast and set to begin rehearsals in March 2020. Covid-19 shut down our campus and put a halt to most live theatre activity in the world for almost two years. Some of the students we originally cast have graduated, so we had to re-cast about the half the play. We are so excited to finally bring this story to life!”
