Through the first 13 games of the regular season, Western women’s soccer is off to a 5-7-1 start, including a 3-4 record in conference play.
They currently sit in 7th out of 13 teams in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), just behind perennial rival Colorado Mesa.
They have five more games in the regular season, beginning with road matchups against Regis University (Oct. 14) and Colorado School of Mines (Oct. 16), before two key home matchups against MSU-Denver (Oct. 20 at 3 p.m.) and Black Hills State University (Oct. 23, 11 a.m. for Senior Day).
The Mountaineers have featured a balanced scoring attack, with 11 players scoring goals. Aubree Orosco and Alex Peralta, rotating in goal, have boasted a 73% save percentage on the season.
Should they qualify for the RMAC conference tournament, the contest will kick off with quarterfinal play on Oct. 30.
