Peers Supporting Peers Group Session, 12:30pm, Tuesday, March 29th

  • Where: UC South Conference Room
  • Who: EPIC Mentors, RAs, SAAC, LEAD, MCC students, PHEs
  • What: Christine Osmundson, local therapist and CB State of Minds Board Chair, will lead a discussion with Western student leaders and help them self-advocate and support their peers in times of hardship. 

Healing Circle, 6:30pm, Thursday, March 31st 

  • Where: Pinnacles Multi-Purpose Room
  • Who: Open to everyone
  • What: Engagement in a Circle Process to get students in touch with their grieving and think about what they need to heal. Healing is not cyclical, it is often not done in isolation, and it’s complex. If students are struggling with how to cope with the news of Eli’s passing and/or if they want to be listened to and supported in their pain, this is for it to happen.

  • What: Facilitated by Gunnison Valley Health discussion on how we are better together, starting conversations around mental health, asking for input on what we can change and do better, and sharing campus/community resources.

FREE access to the LivingWorks Start suicide prevention gatekeeper training. LivingWorks Start is a one-hour, online, interactive training program that gives you the skills and knowledge to keep family, friends, co-workers, and others safe from suicide. For more information, click here.

Students can also access TimelyCare, Western’s tele-health option through the following steps:

  1. Create your free account by visiting timelycare.com/western or download the TimelyCare app at the App Store or on Google Play.
  2. Click “Sign in.”
  3. Create your profile using your @western school email address.
  4. Follow the prompts to start your first visit.
  5. You can access TimelyCare on a 24/7 basis or schedule an individual counseling appointment.
